Inspired by enduring celestial symbols and the fleeting beauty of insects, the "Celestial Insects" series is designed to celebrate and honor the great and the small together in a collectible art form. The Centipede (The Eclipse) is a stunning piece by itself and goes wonderfully with the other pins in the series.

The Centipede (The Eclipse) curls around the obscured sun, framing the last glimpse of light before totality with its starry body. This design is inspired by the Scolopendridae family of centipedes, especially Scolopendra subspinipes, which can get as long as 20 cm! Centipedes aren’t actually insects - they’re myriapods, distant cousins of a sort.
