Inspired by enduring celestial symbols and the fleeting beauty of insects, the "Celestial Insects" series is designed to celebrate and honor the great and the small together in a collectible art form. The Shield Bug (The Emblem) is a wonderful piece by itself and goes perfectly with other pieces in the collection.

The Shield Bug (The Emblem) wears a stylized eclipse on its back with an arrangement of stars below. While this insect might be most familiar to some as a “stink bug”, there are over seven thousand species of shield bugs, so named for their distinctive shape. Their coloration can vary widely from bright and metallic to simple green or dull brown.
