Inspired by enduring celestial symbols and the fleeting beauty of insects, the "Celestial Insects" series is designed to celebrate and honor the great and the small together in a collectible art form. The Cecropia Moth (The Nightcloak) is a delightful piece by itself and wonderfully compliments other pins in the series.

The Cecropia Moth (The Nightcloak) soars on huge wings through the darkness, wearing the stars as its own. This design is inspired by the real Cecropia of the Saturniidae family; it is the largest moth found in North America with a wingspan up to 7 inches wide.

Hard enamel pin with gold plating, double posts, and black clutches. Approximately 50 mm tall. The new stock has a slight difference in one enamel color from the original run, so the listing photo has been updated to reflect this.
